Correcting virtual errors in the physical world
The CIDM, an organization of managers of technical documentation departments, featured an amusing anecdote in their newsletter. It's a quick read so I won't spoil the fun, but I think it's also an interesting example of using techniques in the physical world to correct errors that occur in software.
