Creating user assistance Wizards for Mac OS X
In the world of Windows, a "wizard" is an onscreen interview that helps users make decisions by presenting a series of questions. (This is more commonly called, on the Mac, a "setup assistant.") It's a tried-and-true user assistance technique, and if you're documenting an application that could benefit from one, the sample source code available at Cocoa Is My Girlfriend: Core Animation Tutorial: Wizard Dialog With Transitions will make your implementation easier. For information on how a Mac OS X setup assistant should behave, see Apple Human Interface Guidelines: Setup Assistants.
