Grammar Girl's Quick and Dirty Tips for Better Writing
From Web Archive to Help
If your content needs aren't very sophisticated, an easy way to author for Apple Help is to use TextEdit (the free text editor included with Mac OS X) and save your document as a Web Archive. Doing so bundles up all the embedded graphics into a single document and performs a nice conversion to HTML. However, the file format of a Web Archive isn't portable across platforms and can't be directly used in Help Viewer. So, to finish the job, use Rob Rohan's free WebArchive Extractor utility. This flattens the Web Archive so its ready a web server, and for adding the meta tags and indexing for Apple Help.
