Style Guide revisions
Style Guides are important tools for Help authors. They ensure consistency, brevity, and give documentation its "voice." The current reader's poll at WinWriters suggests that the vast majority of authors find them to be important tools in their daily work.
Sun Microsystems has recently updated their style guide. "Read Me First! A Style Guide for the Computer Industry" is available for purchase from their online store, along with a sample chapter and table of contents posted online.
The May 2003 edition of the Apple Publications Style Guide was also recently released as a free download (1.2MB PDF).
